i out playing at a friend place he a have just got a board on the wall, and i have just made a wood frame from the wall out to the oche about 5 cm high. i played really well because i did something different than normal i look at the 20 walk to the oche hit my food agains is with out looking. i did hit a lot of 100 and 140. double as many as i normal do. at home i have just a piece of velcro on the floor i have to look down so i don't over step the line.
Can this make that much difference ? Have any of you tried this ?

I'm the same. I have a line on the floor, but much prefer something to actually put my foot against. As you say, its one thing less for you to think about,or get distracted by.........just walk to the oche looking straight at what you want to throw at without having to look down and place your foot against the line.
I only have tape or a line painted on the floor. Fortunatly the tape is quite worn, so i know exactly where to step every time because i feel the tiny difference. Always thought, that i would prefer a "high" oche, but never actually thought about looking down or not. I just look down a second and find my stance, not a big thing i guess. I think i would look down as well when i would have an oche to stop my foot.

nope..... its the same sort of thing as a laser line that you would use in building - and you can see them perfectly in daylight. It draws a 3 foot or so long red line on the floor where you want the oche to be ..... good stuff.
I thought about it but it is now attached to my dartboard and I can't do an 'open the box' type thing as I got one of the pre production test jobbies to try out for Lee... and my dart room is a crap hole.....
