played in the scottish open 2 weeks back, did rubbish
lost 1st round of the mixed triples on the friday night - played sh-terrible
lost 2nd round of the men's singles on the saturday - played a little better but still nowhere near what I can
Lost 2nd round of the pairs on the sunday - played reasonably well scoring wise but doubles let us down.
it was my first Big Open as either a player or spectator and a fantastic weekend was had!
Last week I played in a comp at my local rileys in wolverhampton, others of you were there too.
Lost in the first round to Cheshire county player Ian Pallett 4-1. I was happy with how I played, doubles need tightening up, but I just lost to the better player on the day.
this weekend the forum i mod on had a get together. 32 players in 8 groups of 4 and I played well and lost in the semi-finals to the eventual winner so in my mind I came 3rd haha. The standard was very mixed with plenty of fun chuckers and a few superleague/county standard folks in the mix. It was won by Fallon, the WDF Girls World Cup Singles champion. She beat me 4-2 but I should have been 3-2 up going into the 6th leg as i missed 7 darts at a double in the first leg.
Onwards and upwards though, hopefully
