Hi All

Cracking site and glad to have come across it :)

My name is Neil, 38 and from a small village in Aberdeenshire, first picked up a dart at 8 years old playing in the house with my dad, first played for a team when I was 16 then went on to play 4 nights a week and Super League. Now play just the 1 night a week and the odd open here and there. Darts has been my passion since I first picked up a set and that has never changed :)

Hi there :), I was given the nickname Hagler many many moons ago when I was young by my mates and it was after "Marvelous Marvin Hagler" I had a high KO rate also. All in a distant past but the nickname has always stuck.

NICE! Thanks for the answer. I have been fortunate to have seen Hagler on numerous occasions fight in the Boston Garden backin the day. He is still revered as one of our most famous sports figures! :wink:

I could talk boxing all day long - one of my favorite sports since I was a young kid. And, as I said, Hagler was something else!

You must remember, then, his legendary fight in 1980 in England against Alan Minter! The fight was stopped in the third round and Hagler won the World Middleweight Title.

It was brutal - Minter went down like a SINKING SHIP!!!
